Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This policy explains what information Pest Control VR (the game) uses, why, and what you can do about it. We kept it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email privacy@pestcontrolvr.com.
1. Who we are
Pest Control VR is made by VOUCH SARLAU, a company registered in Morocco. VOUCH SARLAU decides how your information is used (it is the data controller). You can reach us at privacy@pestcontrolvr.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Your platform user ID. When the game starts, it gets your user ID from Meta (on Meta Quest) or Steam (on PC), with a one-time sign-in proof. Both go to Unity Gaming Services to sign you in silently, so you never create an account and your profile survives a reinstall. The platform also confirms that you own the game.
- Your player ID. Unity Gaming Services gives you a player ID. We use it as the key to your saved profile.
- Your display name. Players 13 and older type a name; players 10 to 12 get a generated one. The name is stored on your headset or PC and in Unity Gaming Services Cloud Save, and other players see it in matches.
- Your age group (Meta Quest only). At every launch the game asks Meta whether you are a child (10 to 12), a teen or an adult, and uses the answer only to decide which social features you get (see section 4). It is not stored and not shared.
- Connection data. Our service providers see your device's IP address in order to connect it to their servers. We do not collect or store it.
We use this information only to run the game: to sign you in, keep your name, and let you play with others.
3. Sent live to other players, never recorded
During a match, your voice and the movement of your head and hands are sent live, through Photon, to the other players in the same match, so they can hear you and see your character move (except players aged 10 to 12, whose voice is never sent; see section 4). We do not record or keep them.
4. Children
On Meta Quest, players aged 10 to 12 get child protections:
- their voice is never sent to other players; others hear roach sounds instead;
- they hear other players only as roach sounds;
- they get a generated name instead of typing one.
If the game cannot read a player's age group, it applies these protections until it can. Any future purchases go through the platform and its parental controls. On Steam, players must be 13 or older. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete their child's data at any time (see section 8).
5. What we do not do
- No advertising.
- No analytics in the game.
- No selling or renting of your data.
- No tracking of how long anyone plays.
- No use of your Meta or Steam display name or profile picture.
6. Service providers and where your data goes
- Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services: sign-in and cloud save), with servers in the United States. Unity's privacy policy.
- Exit Games (Photon: multiplayer and voice relay). Each player connects to the Photon server region nearest to them, in one of several countries worldwide.Photon's privacy policy.
- Meta and Valve, as the platforms the game runs on.Meta's privacy policy,Valve's privacy policy.
This means your data can be processed outside your country, including outside Morocco. We share it only with these providers, and only so the game can work.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your display name and player ID for as long as your profile exists, and delete them when you ask. Live voice and movement are not kept at all.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Emailprivacy@pestcontrolvr.com and tell us which platform you play on and your display name; we may ask for details that show the profile is yours. We answer within 30 days. Parents and guardians can make these requests for their children.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Morocco, the CNDP (Commission nationale de contrôle de la protection des données à caractère personnel); in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your local data protection authority.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
